Translation

Ali Alizadeh has translated literary texts, mostly poetry, from Persian into English, often in collaboration with a notable Anglophone poet/scholar. Among his translations are those written with Dr. Kenneth Avery in Fifty Poems of Attar. A number of Ali’s translations were also featured in the short film and theatre performance A Sufi Valentine (pictured). Ali has also completed compiling and translating an anthology of Persian poetry with John Kinsella, due for publication in 2010/2011.
